Cheryl Walthall joined the Pacific Resource Partnership in 2007 as Project Manager, overseeing various programs that enhance relationships between the construction industry and the business community. These programs include the Tools of the Trade summer internship for faculty members of Construction Academy schools and PRP's monthly Developers Boardroom Series. Walthall also manages the organization's communications and marketing efforts.
Prior to joining PRP, Walthall served as an associate project coordinator for the Office of the President of the Philippines, acting as a liaison to the embassies of countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. She was also an ukulele instructor and branch manager for Roy Sakuma Productions, Inc. Walthall has held various positions within the state Department of Education and taught English in Fukuoka, Japan, for three years as part of the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program.
Walthall serves on the board of directors of the Hawaii Leeward Planning Conference, and is a member of Urban Land Institute, Kakaako Improvement Association, Kakaako Makai Community Planning Advisory Council and the Hawaii Construction Career Days Steering Committee. She also represents PRP on Hawaii 2050 issues.
Walthall received a Bachelor of Arts in Hawaiian Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and is proficient in the Hawaiian language.
